About

Welcome to the East Coast!

I am so glad you are here!  Here on the East Coast Perspective (ECP), you’ll find what gives me the inspiration to build a beautiful life, and that includes the rich traditions of southern living with the freshness of an East Coast feel.  I have a deep love for all things creative, feminine, and Southern; could there be a more perfect combination?  It is my pleasure to share with you here on the ECP all that I have come to love on the Eastern side of the US, sharing with you my desire to write, my love of romanticism and traditions, my passion for health and wellness, and my dedication in helping others.

Why I am passionate about living life on the East Coast (with a Southern emphasis):  fall is best seen from this side of the country, both long, cozy dinners and endless to-go cups of coffee are staples here, and warm traditions are everywhere you need them to be.  Football is celebrated each weekend as if it were a holiday, pearl earrings go with everything, and our pets are our family members.

As a Bama graduate working professionally as a Nutritionist in the health care field, I have learned so much about my body and the best approach to helping others figure out their nutrition needs, about the workforce in general, and most importantly, about myself as an individual.  With a degree in English and Creative Writing, I will forever hold dear my passion for writing, and reading some of the great works founded in the South.   I now work as a Nutritionist and work with feeding premie babies in the NICU, but desire to find work where I can combine and share my creativity and love of heath and writing.

My favorite things in the world are spending long summer days on the sandy beaches on the Outer Banks in North Carolina, cozying up with a latte in a coffee shop or grabbing an iced coffee to go with a notebook, baking, reading the latest Nicholas Sparks book and the most current research on nutrition and health, meeting new people and catching up with old friends, shopping in cute little boutiques, hand lettering wedding invitations, and exploring new places.

I’m so glad you’ve found your way here and I am looking forward to getting getting to know you! <3
